Bernie Custis Autographed picture

Bernie was a stand out at Syracuse University.  As a rookie in the Canadian Big Four League, the predecessor to the CFL, Bernie Custis was named Rookie Of The Year with Hamilton and has since been recognized as the "first black quarterback in professional football."  He was elected to the Canadian Football Hall Of Fame in 1998 after coaching Canadian Football for over thirty years for The Burlington Braves, Sheridan Bruins and The McMaster University Marauders.

This quality reproduction picture is from his playing days at Syracuse. Actual Paper size is 8.5 x 11 inches. Image is 8 x 9 inches.

John Bonk Autographed Program

John Bonk played for The Burlington Braves in 1970 & 71. He began his CFL career in 1972 & 73 with the Hamilton Tiger Cats and then moved on to the Wiinipeg Blue Bombers up until his retirement in 1985. This 2008 Burlington Brave program was dedicated to John and his induction into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 2008. The programs are personally autographed by John Bonk with a black sharpie.  Tony Gabriel And Peter Dalla Riva Autographed Picture

Both Tony Gabriel (Syracuse) and Peter Dalla Riva played at opposite ends for  The Burlington Braves 1965 team.  Both went onto Hall of Fame careers in the CFL. This photo was taken the last time the two met on the field professionally. Gabriel with the Ottawa Rough Riders and Dalla Riva with the Montreal Alouettes. This 8 x 10 black & white photo was signed by both men in 1996 with a blue sharpie.

50 Year Reunion Autographed (8) Dinner Program 

In 2007 The Burlington Braves celebrated 50 years in existance. A banquet was held where over 500 former players and staff attended. This program was distributed that evening. Kind enough to personally sign the program were the following:

1980 Autographed Program 

 This is a very rare item. In 1980 The Burlington Braves held a Reunion Banquet at which many Alumni returned. This 1980 Game Day Program celebrates the evening. This Program has been signed by four former Brave players who were active in the CFL at the time. Three future canadian Football Hall of Famers Tony Gabriel, John Bonk, Peter Dalla Riva and Hamilton Tiger Cat Billy Harrison.Presently there are only four of these in existence. And only one here up for auction.
